Math- Unit 6 review for test on Friday. Progress reports were handed out today and need to be signed and returned tomorrow. Students can earn 5 extra credit points if it is returned tomorrow!

Language Arts: Students have until Monday, February 28, to improve the scores on their essays on myaccess.com. Remember a score of "4.2" =70%, which = 70/100 points, which = a "C". Any score less than that is an "NI". There are four essays that will be on this term's report card. Each essay is worth 100 points. As you can see, these essays will play a significant part in determining the Language Arts grade that will be on the report card for Parent/Teacher Conferences on March 9-10.
Students were introduced to a new writing assignment on Tuesday: "A Day In Ancient Pompeii." This is a narrative piece of writing. The students will have 2 worksheets to get them organized before they begin work on the computers. We will work on these organization worksheets in class on Wednesday, and they are due Thursday, February 24. This narrative is not due before Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Reading: Read "Stargazer" notebook.
